To take full advantage of Easel’s platform and to be able to commission artists, sign up for an Easel account and create an Easel profile - it only takes a minute.

How do I create an account?

You can create an Easel account for free by going to the Sign Up page. You will need an active email address to sign up.

After you sign up, be sure to review the following information and complete your profile before requesting a commission.

How do I select a username?

Your username on Easel should be unique as it will be used to display your Easel profile. Select a username that is short and memorable.

What info do I need to include in my profile?

We ask everyone who uses Easel for certain information before they can request a commission. This information helps artists know a little bit about who is requesting a commission from them. Easel’s profile requirements include the following:

You can edit this information by going to Profile Settings.

Your email address is only used to receive notifications from Easel. It is never shared with artists on Easel.

Why do I need to have an Easel profile or profile photo?

Your profile is a great way for others to learn more about you before they create a piece for you. When your profile is robust, it helps artists know that you're a real person, genuinely interested in their art. We require all users to have a profile photo.

A profile picture, along with the information mentioned above, are the basis for making a great Easel profile.

How do I edit my profile or account settings?

You can edit the information that appears on your Easel profile by going to Settings.

Settings can also be accessed anytime by clicking your profile picture in the top right corner and selecting Settings from the dropdown.

How do I connect my accounts from other social networks to Easel?

Link your accounts from other social networks to your Easel profile to help add more to your profile, further verify your identity, and make your profile more robust.

You can link an Instagram account and a Tumblr account. Compatibility for more types of linked accounts will be coming soon.

To link an account, go to Settings > Social Accounts and select one of the connect buttons. You may be taken to a page from that social network asking for permission to connect your account.

You can always unlink an account by going to Settings > Social Accounts and clicking the trash icon next to the account you want to delete.

How do I delete my account?

Deleting your account will permanently remove your Easel profile, uploaded artwork, and other activity from Easel. If you have questions regarding your Easel account, contact us at before deleting your account.

To delete your account, go to Settings > Delete Account.

Can children create accounts on Easel?

In order to use the Easel site and services, you must be 13 years or older. It's against our Terms of Service to create an account as a buyer or an artist unless you're at least 13 years old.

Can Easel deactivate my account?

Easel may limit, suspend, or deactivate your account, as outlined in our Terms of Service.

Your account may be temporarily deactivated due to your response rate or acceptance rate. To reactivate your account in this case, please email

Your account may be deactivated during a review of Easel accounts. Reviews are part of an effort to create a trustworthy community and uphold Easel’s Terms of Service.

I have two accounts. Can I merge them?

No. You can use the same account as a buyer and an artist. If you have multiple accounts set up, move all of your info to a single account and delete the others.

Why didn't I receive my email notification?

If you didn’t receive an email notification from Easel, there are a few different steps you can try to figure out the issue.

The emails may be being sent to an old or incorrect email address. To see or change the email address associated with your account, log in to your Easel account and go to Settings > Email and make sure the right email address is shown. If not, simply change your email to the correct one.

Sometimes emails can get lost in your inbox. In your email account, search for terms like “Easel”, “commission”, "verification", or other words related to the email you're looking for.

It's possible your email provider mistakenly sent Easel’s messages to your spam or junk folder. To avoid this,

Depending on your provider, emails can take up to a few hours to be delivered. If undelivered or delayed emails continue to be an issue, check with your provider to see if there are any configuration issues or problems with their network that might be affecting your account.
