We take many steps to ensure Easel is a safe and secure platform for you to use.
We are always testing, auditing, and improving our security.
Easel forces HTTPS for all services using TLS (SSL). This means that any request to any of Easel’s services sent over basic HTTP is immediately redirected to be resent over the secure HTTPS protocol.
We use HSTS to ensure browsers interact with Easel over HTTPS only. Easel is also currently pending addition to the HSTS preload list that operated by Google Chrome.
Easel uses the industry-leading Stripe platform for payments processing. Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the highest level of certification available in the payments industry.
In full compliance with best practices, all sensitive payment-related information is transmitted over secure connections to Stripe. Many sensitive values, like credit card numbers and government id numbers, never even hit our servers.
Easel has a strict identity verification process in place.
Artists on Easel must verify their identities before they can accept a commission and process any payments. We also allow and encourage artists on Easel to connect their social media accounts to their profiles. These provide an extra channel for verifying that they are who they say they are.
